Admission Arrangements

Surrey County Council is the admission authority for Kingfield Primary School.  To find up to date information about the school's admission arrangements and details on how to apply, either as part of the normal intake or during the school year,  please use this link: http://www.surreycc.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools/school-admissions  to the Surrey County Council website.

Choosing a school for your child is a very important decision.  The school holds regular walkabout tours of the school, and prospective applicants are invited to attend. Please call the school office for dates and to book an appointment.

Nursery Admissions

Parents who wish their child to attend the Nursery are asked to fill in a form when their child is eighteen months old, whereupon their child's name will go on the waiting list. All children are entitled to 15 hours free per week and sessions offered are as follows:

All day Monday & Tuesday 8.30am - 3pm plus Wednesday morning 8.30am-11.30am

Wednesday afternoon 12.00pm - 3pm plus all day Thursday and Friday 8.30am - 3pm

Five morning sessions Monday - Friday 8.30am - 11.30am

Five afternoon sessions Monday - Friday 12.00pm - 3pm

Top up sessions are also available subject to availability and are charged per session. School lunches are compulsory for those children who attend any full day sessions and must be paid for in advance at the chargeable rate.

Selection to the Nursery will be based on criteria in Surrey County Council's Nursery Admission Policy. There is one intake in September for children who are three years old by 31st August of that year. Offers of the nursery places will be sent out at the end of the Spring Term.

Each child offered a place will receive a home visit from the Nursery Teacher and classroom assistant during the first two weeks of September (notification of day & time will be sent during June/July). You and your child will then be invited for one or more visits to the nursery. Children are usually expected to be full-time straight away

Nursery children wear a school sweatshirt, white polo neck shirt and blue track suit bottoms.
